We are very happy to announce the first MRRG meeting of the 2016 calendar year! The meeting will feature a talk by Ross Hawkins on his dissertation, Radiophonic Writing at the BBC, 1945-1963, before proceeding to a Q&A. The talk will deal with the social-historical context of BBC radio in the post-war period as well as with the aesthetics of sound and listening. Please contact Dan Newman at daniel.newman@utoronto.ca for reading materials. The meeting will take place at 3 PM on Friday, January 15th in JHB 718.
